    The Herkimer diamond is an extraordinary phenomenon within the quartz crystals. Its occurrence is limited to the Herkimer Mines in New York State. The water-clear Herkimer diamonds were already used for healing by the Mohawk Indians and Iroquois Indians. The first immigrants quickly recognized that there was more to the clear diamond-like quartz, namely a healing power that is located between rock crystal and diamond.
